                      Welcome to McAllen Tea Party

Welcome to McAllen Tea Party website.  Please look through our the parties.com store and see more about us.  As you get to know us, please consider joining our efforts to stop our country's swift turn toward socialism and, yes, even Marxism.  Our government grows daily, and we are reminded of the quote by Barry Goldwater who said, "A government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take everything you have."

HB 1863 -- TEXAS GUN LAWS

This is the declaration describing the context of this bill. Similar to that which just passed in Montana. Time is short here as the legislature will only be in session a few more weeks. Please, contact your representatives, Speaker Joe Strauss, Gov. Perry and Lt. Gov. Dewhurst. We must protect our right to bear arms from the insanity of the Obama administration.

DECLARATION. The Legislature of the State of Texas declares that a firearm, a firearm accessory, or ammunition manufactured in Texas, as described by Chapter 2003, Business & Commerce Code, as added by this Act, that remains within the borders of Texas:
(1) has not traveled in interstate commerce; and
(2) is not subject to federal law or federal regulation, including registration, under the authority of the United States Congress to regulate interstate commerce.

Currently this bill is in calendars; we need it to be passed!
